From the hamlet of Perlà di Bobbio Pellice go up the green Comba dei Carbonieri, confluence of Val Pellice, to the Rifugio Barbara Lowrie (1753 m.). A path of about 9 km and with a 1045 meters difference in altitude, spread over an uninterrupted uphill with an average gradient of more than 10% and with different sections over 20%. Due to its characteristics it is reviewed as one of the toughest climbs in Italy. Every year an uphill time trial takes place on this climb.
