Highlights and tour details
Passing the Tovo Alps (2067 m) reach the Bojret Pass (2330 m) easily, partly on a mule-track and stony path. From here, descend along a magnificent paved mule track (one section is covered in snow even in late summer) as far as the lake and mountain huts of Bojret (possible bivouac, water nearby. Time 2 h 15 min from the departure). From the Bojret Alps 2281 m, the trail continues westwards, goes under a rocky bastion, passes it and reaches the Forca Alps 2470 m (possible bivouac) on flat ground. In a short time, you reach Forca Hill 2458 m, lovely panoramic view. (Time 1 h 30 min from Lake Bojret). From the hill, descend along the trail until you meet the very modest effluent of a lake of elongated shape at approx. 2300 m, (not marked on the maps). Leaving on the left the trail that shortly leads to Pian di Lee Alps (2265 m) follow the entire western bank of the lake and with a section in between rocks (careful of the signs) reach La Balma Alp 2289 m (possible bivouac, water nearby). Follow a lovely paved mule track and after 100 m you meet a junction. Take the left fork that leads to the grassy slope below the altitude 2434 m, after having passed it the track disappears completely (pay attention to the signs) and you reach Terra Hill approx. 2400 m (not to be confused with the many homonyms in the area). Having left the hill, the trail descends briefly to Li Arrè Alps 2309 m (possible bivouac), which you leave to the left. Descend along the valley to the right until the trail with a long, slightly downhill traverse reaches a huge boulder that overhangs a watering hole. Having crossed the flat area and a small stream you reach the Vailet Alps 2233 m (Bivouac, water nearby, Time 2 hours from Forca Hill).
