From Pontebernardo you take the asphalted road to Prati del Vallone, which you follow all the way to the village of the same name. At the end of the road, which is a dirt road in the last stretch, you will find the crossroads for route P30 and P33. Turn left and take the P30 which, after crossing the stream, begins to climb up a steep stretch towards Passo Sottano delle Scolettas - Rifugio Zanotti. After the first rocky ramparts with many narrow hairpin bends you reach the entrance of the wide Vallone delle Scolettas that goes up to the Pass (2223 m). From here you descend towards the Vallone del Piz below using an old military road, with rockslides in several sections, which descends in hairpin bends. A last short stretch of ascent on the opposite side in the larch wood allows you to reach the Rifugio Zanotti
