You leave Sambuco by taking the main road westwards, turn right into the penultimate alley and follow a mule track that offers an enchanting view of the Stura Valley, with a slight climb leading to the side valley of the Rio Bianco. By making a curve you reach Moriglione di Fondo (1400 m), and then Moriglione San Lorenzo (1414 m). Here you continue to the right on the dirt road that leads to the mountain pastures; after the first hairpin bend, you leave it to take a path on the left that leads to the hamlet of Castello di Pietraporzio. The path winds along the hillside through a forest of Scots pine until it meets a dirt road that leads to the hamlet of Pietraporzio with a short descent. Following the symbol of the Ecomuseo della Pastorizia (sheep-farming museum), you reach an isolated pink house. A little further on, the path divides and, keeping to the right, you start to climb until you reach a "truna" (artificial cave). Keep left and starting the descent you cross the river Stura to shortly reach Pontebernardo. With a further short walk you can reach Pietraporzio (1246 m), and from here you can continue with the eleventh or twelfth stage.
