From the locality of Colletta you go down along the SP 27 road that goes towards Paesana until reaching a crossroads (indications on the right to Borgata Croce, on the left to Borgata Bergia); turn left along a slightly sloping stretch on asphalt until you reach a crossroads where the asphalt road ends. Continue to the left along the dirt road that leads uphill to the locality of Bosco San Michele, where it goes onto the Anello del Mombracetto route, which with a snow covered route along continuous ascents and descents reaches the hamlet of Rocchetta di Sanfront. On asphalt you cross the centre, heading uphill to the locality of Case Forano from where the branch to the museum site of Balma Boves branches off. The route now becomes a mule track that joins another important route called the Sentieri di Leonardo, reaching another geosite, Rocca La Casna, continuing for a short stretch as far as a fork in the road (you reach the unattended S. Mulatero refuge uphill to the left). From here you take the right, and with a long descent in a very suggestive rocky environment you reach the Miravidi hiking refuge and then the hamlet of Mombracco in Sanfront. At this point you just need to follow the asphalt road that descends to the bridge over the Po and then shortly reach the La Via del Sale hiking refuge.

Motorway A6 Torino - Savona, exit at the tollbooth of Marene; turn left onto the S.S. 662 in the direction of Savigliano, carry on to Saluzzo then follow directions from Saluzzo towards Valle Po along the S.P. 26 as far as Paesana. The locality of Colletta is on the border with the municipality of Barge (follow directions for Barge). From Torino, take the Tangenziale, exit at Pinerolo, continue on the SP 161 towards Bibiana, then SP 27 to Barge - Paesana. The locality of Colletta is at the end of the homonymous stretch of road that is characterised by many bends, where a wonderful view of Monviso can be seen.
