From the Ciciu Nature Reserve, follow via Cervetto on the right and once you reach Regione Foresti, the signs for the "Luca Borgoni" path (an athlete who died prematurely on Monte Cervino). The trail continues uphill and downhill to the ancient sanctuary of San Costanzo al Monte. Continue to the right going uphill to Pian l'Abà on the border between Dronero and Roccabruna. There are beautiful views of the upper valley, the slopes of Monte San Bernardo and the Cuneo plain. Going through chestnut woods you reach "Fontana dell'Asino" (1105 m asl), a fountain that is now dry. Go down to Cascina Arduini and the little village of Oggeri connected by a mule track to the village of Castello. From here the ascent becomes steeper along a forest track and along the cliffs of Chast’las. Turn left at the crossroads for Valmala, now in sight of the thick spruce forest of Sant'Anna di Roccabruna.

From a naturalistic point of view, the "Riserva Naturale Ciciu del Villar" is an authentic rarity within the Piedmontese environmental heritage, both for its important geological features - the characteristic mushroom-shaped erosion columns - which make it unique in its kind, and for the abundant fauna that can be observed in the few hectares designated for protection. The "Abbazia di San Costanzo al Monte" is located just north of the town of Dronero, on the southern slope of Monte San Bernardo, in the municipality of Villar San Costanzo. This sanctuary, which is one of the most important in the Province of Cuneo, dates back to around the XII century and is an example of Lombard Romanesque style.
