From the Coazze refuge descend into the vallone of Ricciavrè. Reach Borgata Flizzo, passing by the former talc mines of Gardia, and continue to Borgata Molè. From here, continue always halfway up the slope, quickly passing through vallone della Balma to reach Prese Agostino. Hence, proceed into vallone del Sangone along a forest track which leads to the Observatory refuge for Ambiente Palazzina Sertorio.
Attractions
Rifugio Palazzina Sertorio (Coazze) is housed in a historic building, the former Hunting Lodge of Cavalier Sertorio, built in 1909 and the scene of a bitter clash during the Liberation struggle.
