The variant starts in Vicoforte, from the avenue that continues in the direction of Niella Tanaro (SP 36), at the intersection with Via San Rocco, which goes up from the Sanctuary. The route crosses the village of San Pietro up to the sports fields, and then turns right onto Strada delle Cappelle. Here a wide pavement called "Percorso Giubileo" begins, which connects the city of Mondovì to that of Vicoforte, always in a separate location from the vehicular route.Once in Via Santa Croce, it crosses Via Nino Carboneri and continues along Via Vico until the medieval Piazza Maggiore, the historical centre not only of the Piazza district but of the whole city. In this square there is an Infopoint that allows tourists to find out more about the services and attractions of the city.You then follow a historical pedestrian route that runs alongside the rectilinear of the Funicular Railway, crosses Via Enzo Tortora, goes uphill for a very short stretch and enters another historical pedestrian route, called "Viota", a dirt road, which is absolutely usable and properly maintained. The descent leads to Piazza Toscana and through Via Cottolengo, Vicolo Meridiana, Piazza Cesare Battisti and Via Marconi, in the heart of the historical centre of the district of Breo, crosses an emblematic fountain of the City and, via the Ponte Nazionale bridge, reaches Piazza della Repubblica.The square has a large parking area and is one of the city's bus stations.
