Leaving the village of Casario you pass behind the ruins of Casario Castle and walk along the beautiful shady path through the chestnut woods of the Persietta. After a short walk along the Bric della Colma you reach the village of Garessio in the Regione S Margherita. Here you continue on the cycle path as far as Trappa, then cross the Tanaro river on the orographic left side and reach the village of Pian Bernardo below le Rocche delle Orse.
