From Balma proceed in the direction of Lago delle Scalette leaving the Mondolè Massif on the left. Here it is advisable to take a variant, which passes downstream of the Rocche Giardina and allows you to avoid the more exposed path which passes at high altitude upstream of the above mentioned Rocche. Once you reach the lake you continue to Colla Balzano, Pian del Lupo, Colla Rossa and then down to Pian Marchisio. Leave the path that continues to Rifugio Mondovì, which is a midway resting place, and then climb about 300 metres up through Sella Pontetto, under the crest of the Cima Cars, to arrive near the Casino del Cars where Rifugio Comino is located.
