From the village of Mombasiglio you go up the ridge through the Bric del Pilone and the Bric delle Forche (750 m asl) on a dirt road and a path, to arrive at the municipality of Scagnello after about a 5 km walk, bypassing it through the Cascina Cappelli and descending the riverbed of the Mongia River (500 m above sea level). From here you go up through the Rocca di Frefino to reach the 750 m above sea level border between the municipalities of Scagnelo and Lisio (loca Bric del Groppo). From here you reach the locality of S. Stefano along a ridge path and the stage arrival point in the municipality of Lisio.
