From the village of Valcasotto you descend along the asphalt country road passing the Rio Tagiante. Shortly you reach the Colle della Navonera (1427 m) along a dirt road with several rapid hairpin bends, and shortly afterwards the Navonera Refuge. From the Colle you descend again along a dirt road continuing to the crossroads on the left after the Refuge; then you skirt the Case Navonera and, after passing the Rio della Zitella you reach Costacalda. From here an asphalt road leads with rapid hairpin bends down to Bossea and the crossroads with the asphalt road that leads to Fontane. Leave the asphalt road and immediately take a fork on the right that goes up to the village of Revelli and then quickly reaches the village of Fontane.
