Highlights and tour details
From the hamlet of Pontegrande, you can go along a short diversion from the main route of the Stra' Granda up to Bannio Anzino, where you can stay overnight. You then take the B15 path that crosses the Anza stream and cuts through the hairpin bends of the carriage road until you reach the village square.

Historical town centre and church of Bannio, Milizia di Bannio, Via Crucis. The museum of intangible heritage is located in the 17th century oratory of the confraternity of Santa Marta (http://www.amossola.it/musei_ossola/node/61)
Access
By Car: A8 Motorway from Milan or A4 from Turin and continuation on A26 for Gravellona Toce. Continue on SS33 del Sempione as far as the Piedimulera Exit. From Piedimulera SS 549 della Valle Anzasca climbs to Macugnaga. At Pontegrande leave SS 549, cross the Anza and climb to Bannio.
