Departing from the Salvin Refuge, descend along path no. 408 to the characteristic Sanctuary of Marsaglia (1300 m). Along the mountainside on path no. 406 called "Delle apparizioni Mariane" you reach Alpe Mecca Superiore, keeping the altitude almost unchanged and touching Punta Penna (1330 m) to then meet the rural road of the nearby alpine pastures. Climb up to Colle San Giacomo (1460 m) near the San Giacomo hut of Cai Lanzo, to continue – being already on the side of Val Grande di Lanzo - along path no. 332 to Colle della Forchetta (1589 m). From the colle, continue along the dirt road to reach the locality of Zanai, where path no. 330 branches off to the left and descends, passing near the former Cugni mine, to the "Brunetta Mine" ecomuseum. Then, along the Vallone Brissout, you come to the little village of Riverin (1106 m) where you take the cart road that leads directly to the hamlet of Vrù (1039 m), where the stage ends and where it is possible to find accommodation in private tourist facilities or descend to the main town of Cantoira, which offers tourists various services.
