From the centre of Melle take the direction of Via Crosa. After about 1 km in the direction Comba, you arrive at the crossroads of Meire. Go to the left and, continuing for about 3 km on sloping ground, you reach Bric Pissetta. Keeping to the left, you arrive in the little village of Chiabreri   after about 500 metres. Keep left when leaving the village to arrive in the village of Gianleure. Going down along the asphalt road you arrive near Chiappellino. Turning right at the votive pillar about 100 metres before the village, take the old mule track that leads to Botta. From there you return along the carriage road and continue towards the villages of Chiuffran, Spert and finally Arvatti, where the asphalt road becomes a dirt road. Continuing on, you come across the villages of Ariola and Novaira Superiore, finally reaching the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mercy in Valmala.
