Starting from the Via dei Santi, we take a path that, through cultivated fields, leads us to the ridge of the hill, in correspondence with the town of Morgnano. From here we continue along the SP8, admiring the valleys below until we reach the town of Antignano, whose first information dates back to a list of the year 870 A.D. bearing the possessions of the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, Lodovico II. There are numerous passages of ownership of the town during the course of history, as there are numerous testimonies, especially churches, that these passages have involved. We remember, among these, the parish church Beata Vergine del Carmine, the church of Santo Stefano and the church of San Giovanni Battista. We then leave the centre, continuing along the SP8, we cross the hamlet of San Nicola, near which we can descend to the park on the banks of the Tanaro. We continue northwards, taking the road in the valley, from which we can admire the village of Revigliasco d'Asti, whose territories we are crossing. We walk through a plentiful area of woods and cultivated fields, characterized by the presence of the nearby Tanaro river. We then reach the end of the stage, climbing along the hill and arriving in the centre of Celle Enomondo, where the variant rejoins the stage.
