Highlights and tour details
From San Besso, the trail climbs towards Colle della Borra on the steep slope following a track with regular gradient, which across the colle connects to the remains of a small mine. This route was once used to descend with sleds loaded with extracted mineral, towards Campiglia. The same toponymal "Borra" appears to come from the presence of tunnels and grottos. From the Colle, descend on the opposite slope touching first Grange La Borra, in a state of abandonment and, further down the valley, Gr. Orletto and Vandilliana, both still used for mountain grazing in summer. Having reached the bottom of the Piamprato Valley, you meet the path that leads to the chairlift that is travelled downhill for 1.5 km to the hamlet of Piamprato, where there are accommodation facilities.
