After leaving the town of Cerrione, a small unpaved road climbs between the trees, to a junction where we turn right to take the road of Mezza Bessa that goes into a wood in which the trees grow among pebble heaps. At the start of the educational route of Bessa Park, we travel along a trail that joins with the Strada delle Pietre Bianche. Passed the junction for the fountain of the Buchin we reach a paved road close to Vermogno. We skirt the “Arena of gold diggers” and then the Bessa Park Visitors Centre; from here, we can take a detour to the left towards the centre of the town, where the Gold Ecomuseum is open to visitors every Sunday. We take the unpaved road that descends towards the Elvo valley, and take the "road of the quarries” to the left. Having left the road for an uneven mule track on the left, which takes us back into the Bessa reserve, a maze of disconnected lanes leads us to the outskirts of Mongrando.
