GTA: Stage 64 Rifugio Genova-Figari - Rifugio Ellena Soria

From Rifugio Genova-Figari (2010 m) go back along the dirt road along the bank of Lake Bròcan as far as the junction with the M10 route, which you take on the right, climbing up a detrital valley and then going towards the western rocky slopes of Punta Ciamberline. From here you continue to climb with narrow hairpin bends going southeast above the rocky ramparts to finally reach Colle di Fenestrelle (2463 m) on the Gesso della Barra-Rovina watershed. You descend on the opposite slope passing first by a former military shelter and then a small lake (about 2410 m). You then start to descend decisively in a detrital environment on grassy ledges. Leave the track on the left for Gias Confurci (2281 m) and you reach the ruins of Gias Balmetta (2157 m). The mule track then continues to descend on the orographic left of Vallone di Fenestrelle with numerous hairpin bends, passing near the Gias Alvé and finally reaching the bottom of the Gesso della Barra valley. You reach Rifugio Ellena-Soria Refuge (1840 m) from here by going a few metres up the opposite slope.
