From Rifugio Neraissa follow the military road towards Neraissa Superiore. Before the last house of the village turn left and after about one hundred metres you reach the dirt road that leads to Rifugio Nebius (1597 m), not yet open to the public. At the end of this road, just before the refuge, the P12 path that is marked in yellow begins, which leads towards Rio Combalet, and then bends left and continues towards the Nebius valley. After about an hour's walk you will reach a mountain hut and sporadic larch trees. Here there are also numerous small streams that flow from underground. You continue in this basin, dominated on the orographic right by an imposing rock face; here you have to be careful because it is easy to lose track of the path. Pass the steep end of the basin and follow a series of hairpin bends to reach Colle Moura delle Vinche (2434 m). This pass forms the watershed between the Vallone Nebius and the Vallone degli Spagnoli, which leads towards Sambuco. From the pass, leave the P12 path, proceed to the left and follow a trail marked in blue until the end of the ridge. Here you take the path to the right marked with red-white markings and go down a few metres on the pass under the peak. After a short ascent on rocky ground you reach the south-east side, and after one hundred metres you reach the top of Monte Nebius (2600 m). From here you can admire a magnificent panorama of the Cottian Alps (with Monviso), the Maritime Alps and the Stura valley. You go back along the described route to return to Rifugio Neirassa.
