The dirt road that leads into the Rio Forneris valley begins next to Hotel Roburent. After about two kilometres the road becomes a path (P65) and begins to climb in a south-westerly direction. Shortly before reaching a waterfall, the path turns in a north-west direction; you cross the Rio di Ferrere over a bridge and soon you reach Ferrere (1869m), the highest village in Valle Stura and one of the most beautiful villages in the mountains of Cuneo.
