From Pradleves you retrace your steps of the previous day and then leave the asphalt road and head towards the Santuario della Madonna degli Angeli. After a short stretch along the path the track returns to the forest track again and continues through the villages of Cugn and Gerbido. From Gerbido you have to find the path (signs) that goes uphill to the forest track that connects the Gerbido Pass and the Gerbido Cross. Once you have reached the forest track, follow it, always on the north side, until it ends and you return to the path again. Then you go up the ridge that goes up to Punta del Mezzogiorno to reach Monte Chialmo (where there is a characteristic compass rose). From the summit you descend to Colle della Margherita. You continue to descend in the direction of Grange Saria where a new forest track finally reaches the Borgata Valliera where the refuge is located.
