From Vanet you continue on the road that reaches the village of Salerin (1018 m); here the carriage road ends and you continue on a flat path until you reach the crossing of the Monfiei stream, equipped with a new footbridge. Otherwise, at the fountain of the Salerin houses, a path descends to the left towards San Pons, from where an easy road reaches the original Lou Viage path. After crossing Rio Kant, you reach the provincial road 268 of Vallone dell'Arma, which you follow slightly uphill to the left for about 200 metres and then take a dirt road on the right that leads to the hamlets of Maisso, Bovier and Serret and from here to Madonna del Pino. Here, the initially easy P64 path of the Punte Chiavardine starts at a votive shrine on the right and turning left to reach the ridge, soon becomes more challenging but highly spectacular and panoramic over a large section of the valley floor and beyond. The red and white posts indicate the path towards the head of Peitagù (1815 m); after leaving it on the right, the descent to Grangette (1457 m) begins. With a daring track, the path descends a rocky strip until it joins the mule track that leads from Piron (Aisone) to Castellar delle Vigne. Here you turn right and cross the Borbone stream to shortly reach a panoramic hamlet of Vinadio. You descend on an asphalt road, passing Sagna and San Defendente to the main town at the mouth of the Neraissa valley. For those who wish to make a seven-stage itinerary and return to Borgo San Dalmazzo there is the opportunity to descend on the opposite side of the valley, on the stretch of the route described starting from the sixteenth stage.
