From Fontane the itinerary reaches Revelli, then continues in the direction of Case Ubbè, an interesting hamlet perpendicular to the contours, which is part of the Museo Etnografico Diffuso "La civiltà del Castagno" (Ethnographic Museum "Chestnut civilisation"), an initiative created by the Mountain Community of the Monregalesi Valleys around 2000, to enhance the architectural and rural tradition linked to the cultivation of the chestnut tree. The route continues on a sharp slope towards Stalle Pianazzi and then bends left in the direction of a series of abandoned hamlets, including Fontana Roma and Case Becchetti, to reach the hamlet of Mundinot just above the inhabited one of Vinè. From Mundinot continue on the historical route up to the mountain pastures, of which you can still see the ancient paving and side retaining walls, quickly reaching the basin of Casera Vecchia, after having crossed and walked along a small stretch of the asphalt road that connects Fontane to Prato Nevoso. Casera Vecchia is an interesting mountain pasture that preserves a rich testimony of enclosed roofed houses and from here you can quickly reach the Rifugio La Balma along the last stretch of the dirt road that connects Prato Nevoso to La Balma at an altitude of 1886 metres.

The Fontane - La Balma stage coincides with the karst route, which was the subject of directional and illustrative signs as part of an intervention carried out at the end of the 90s of the last century. Subsequently, the route was included in the regional hiking cadastre. Some of its sections are currently no longer passable and it would be worth restoring it.
