From the village of Fontane, continue south going up the Corsaglia Stream until you reach a bridge in the locality of Borello – Locality Ponte Murao at 977 metres. From here you continue to the left leaving on the right the crossroads of the E01 path. Go up the Corsaglia stream along an easy dirt road and beech woods (path E06) passing by the locality of Stalla Rossa until you reach a plateau in the locality Rio della Ciappa with a small mountain pasture building. Here the dirt road is closed with a barrier blocking access to motorised vehicles. (about 5 km from the departure point - 1350 m). From here you continue on a dirt road that goes up the Corsaglia springs towards Stalla Revelli up to an altitude of 1600 m. Here the dirt road turns into a rocky path that climbs rapidly to an altitude of 1800 m of the Vallone della Conca Revelli (location of the Cavarero bivouac - junction on the right). Leave the junction on the right and continue to the left, going south along the slopes of the Colla del Pizzo valley along a steep alpine path with hairpin bends; from the Colla del Pizzo (2150 m a.s.l) you go back down to the beautiful Pizzo Lake and then up the hillside along the slopes of Pizzo di Ormea reaching a grassy hill at an altitude of 2170 m. From here you go back down shortly reaching Rifugio Valcaria.
