Highlights and tour details

The third stage starts from the square in front of the ancient parish church with the medieval bridge in the centre of the village in Brondello; you go along the path that passes next to the new equipped area and, taking a zigzag path you climb the entire wooded ridge until reaching a panoramic area where there is the Torre dell'Orologio (clock tower), the remains of the ancient 12th century castle (561 m).

Following on there is a depression and a subsequent climb, then you descend on the opposite side that crosses the asphalt road at the bottom until you reach Borgata Rossi.  Continue on a dirt road going back up the wooded right hand side of Rio Freddo until you reach the inter-valley ridge near "Pilunas"; keep to the ridge going up a beautiful beech wood until "Pilone Truch" (1160 m), followed by a short descent that leads to the chapel of S.Bernardo del Vecchio, a suggestive and panoramic place (1165 m). Here you take the descent towards S. Cristina, up to the junction at an altitude of 1065 m; from here you take a long forest track on the left which, with a series of hairpin bends, rapidly descends the Comba Fredda valley, reaches the village where the unmanaged hiking refuge of the same name is located and joins the SP road on which (approx. 1 km) you return to the centre of Pagno.

Attractions
