Highlights and tour details

The second stage of the Valle Bronda Trekking starts from the square in Pagno and goes in the direction of the schools in Via Caduti della Liberazione, then turn right into Via S.Grato along the "Sentiero 1 Garia" which leaves the road in the steepest part, taking it up again just above a plain; continue along the route of stage 1 until the crossroads bleow the chapel of S.Grato. From here an easy dirt road begins that goes just below the intervalley ridge with a relaxing walk in the chestnut wood and reaches the Chapel of S. Eusebio (680 m), where there is an equipped area. It climbs with a series of hairpin bends leading to an open field at a fork placed in a wide hairpin bend; the main axis is maintained by continuing to the right until the crossroads to the Chapel of S. Michele. Shortly after the track crosses the asphalt road again at an altitude of 830 metres; here you leave the VBT and follow Via Traversere downhill to the crossroads on the left to Case Bodrero. Once you reach the houses, the path descends rapidly, reaching the SP 47 road, near the hairpin bends upstream of the village; a last short downhill stretch leads to the old parish church and the centre of Brondello.
