YELLOW SIGN – NUMBER 2 in BLUE background
PARKING - From Provincial Road SP 299 at Scopello, turn left at the yellow cycle sign and after crossing the bridge arrive at a large parking lot. From here a shuttle service, which must be booked at local operators, goes up to Mera. Alternatively you can reach it by your own means by taking the road on the right 100 meters from the parking lot.
The bike path starts in front of the chair lift where a steep slope leads to the stretch that goes to the foot of Mount Camparient.
There is a panoramic view of the spectacular Monte Rosa from this point, the path continues with very small gradients crossing the Alpe di Mera through magnificent rhododendron and blueberry shrubs leading to the hill below Mount Ometto. It continues at high altitude without particular difficulty until reaching the Alpe Meggiana at Lake Pizzo. Accompanied by the majestic Monte Rosa with a moderate slope up to the Alpe Sorbella where a decent begins with a dozen hairpin bends to the bridge that crosses the Sorba stream. This stretch, although of large dimensions, for the slope and the base requires proper preparation. It is recommended to dismount and go by foot for those without such preparation.
The continuation of the route on a dirt road which leads to Rassa, is of moderate slope and presents no particular difficulty. The descent on the asphalted road after a few kms leads to the Quare bridge to rejoin the itinerary no.1.
