From the village of Forno Alpi Graie follow trail 318 on the orographic left bank of the Gura stream. The route goes along the Stura stream to the cliff "La California" where it turns sharp right to reach and go beyond Gias Colombin (1666 m). Continuing halfway up the slope, you meet a junction. Leaving to the left trail 318A that takes to Gias Pian di Sotto, continue on trail 318 that goes along the western side of the Barrouard. Pay attention and keep on 318 turning left at the junction with trail 318B, which goes back down to Gias Nuovo Fontane. Climb up the slope, taking care to follow the horizontal signage on the rocks in the sections where the track on the ground is discontinuous, to reach Colle della Piccola (2704 m). From there, it is possible to enjoy a vast view towards the Gran Paradiso. Cross in a south-west direction along a section halfway up the slope across steep meadows. Following trail 315A touch Colle di Fea (2597 m). From there, following a good trail always 315A, on flat stretches you reach the Paolo Daviso Refuge.
