From the refuge you go down towards the access road to San Giacomo di Entracque (1213 m). Go down a little further and then turn right to reach the campsite, then take the GTA path that heads north on the right bank of Gesso della Barra stream. After a long walk, take the branch off to the right that goes up the embedded Truccia valley. Crossing to the left with some exposed stretches, you pass five successive ridges and reach the Colletto del Vailetto (1510 m). Going down along wide bends you reach a cart track, then continue on asphalt to Tetto Salmet Sottano and Tetto Airetta (1089 m). Here you turn right to climb to Tetti Fumel (1108 m). A little further on, take a cart track on the left that crosses the cross-country skiing tracks of Entracque and climbs up to Serrera dei Castagni. From here the path descends into the woods with numerous bends, comes to a dirt road and reaches a bridge over the Bousset stream. Beyond the bridge, the path shortly climbs up to the houses of Trinità in Entracque (1096 m).
