From Rifugio Gardetta you continue on the former military road to the junction at 2114 altitude where you take the left, crossing the brook and reaching the Gias della Margherina. After the mountain pasture you continue on the path until Passo della Margherina (2408 m). Along this stretch the view of Rocca La Meya (2831 m) is wonderful. From the Passo della Margherina you take the ex-military road and easily reach Colle di Ancoccia (2535 m) from where you start to descend towards the grassy basin below of Gias Chiaffrea (2270 m). Here you reconnect to the main track (Stage 57) and again you start to descend on the track into the Chiaffrea valley as far as Grange Bastiera where the Don Martini Bivouac (2067 m) stands.  You continue to descend on the left hydrographic bank of the brook, leaving the deviation to Monte Nebius on the left and you reach Gias Mure (1831 m).  From here the path follows the rather sunken Vallone della Madonna. You pass by a beautiful waterfall, descending the narrow hairpin bends of the corresponding rock threshold on detritus material. When you reach the base, a hillside begins on detritus material with some brooks, making the path subject to avalanches that often damage it, thus making it difficult to pass. The track then continues to descend into the very dense and humid forest that colonises the slope facing the brook until a wooden footbridge crosses it at an altitude of around 1230 m. From here you follow a dirt track as far as the first houses of Sambuco.
