Leaving from the centre of the municipality of Borgo San Dalmazzo, from the SP 23 road, take Via Perosa which ends in a path on the plain that continues westwards. At the crossroads with asphalt roads, keep to the path that goes straight along the chestnut groves. In the hamlet of Beguda the path skirts the SP 121 road for a few metres towards Roccasparvera and then turns left in the direction of C. Ferrere. Once past the locality, continue until you reach the River Stura, which you cross with the Enel power station footbridge. Once on the opposite bank, the path starts again on the left until you reach the village of Roccasparvera in Via Della Braida. The first part of the totally flat route is characterised by agricultural landscapes, panoramic views of the Alps and chestnut groves. Crossing the River Stura is suggestive. In the municipality of Roccasparvera you mainly cross through meadowy areas and pastureland.
