From Pian della Rocca you continue along the dirt road that passes near the Gagere alpine pasture (from here you can reach Rifugio Ciao Pais in 10 minutes). Pass by the Istituto Vezzani and go up to the Laune alpine pasture. Follow the path that goes around Lake Laune and leads to the locality of Ferro di Cavallo in the Gran Bosco di Salbertrand Natural Park, where you will find the dirt road to Col Blegier. Follow it downhill for a short stretch and then take Strada dei Cannoni which, passing upstream of the hamlet of Seu and the Selle alpine pasture, leads you to the ridge near Colle Lauson; from here you follow the military road as far as Testa dell'Assietta. The Strada dell'Assietta is open in summer with restrictions on vehicular traffic. Rifugio Assietta, in the former roadman's house, is open during the summer months.

Access

By car: SS24 or A32, exit at Oulx, go up to Sauze d'Oulx, from here you can reach Pian della Rocca along a good dirt road. Assiettà can be reached by car from Sauze d'Oulx or from Meana along military roads that do not have a great terrain.
