Highlights and tour details

The link road that you can use to descend to Castellar instead of Pagno, completing in fact the tour of Valle Bronda (or useful if you want to cover the ring in the opposite direction to the proposal). You depart from the crossroads at an altitude of about 830 metres along the descent into the valley of Combafredda, following a track on the right that crosses the hillside in the direction of S. Cristina, which you reach from above. Once past the sanctuary, the origins of which date back to 1350 (first church), descend along the meadowy expanse downstream of the sanctuary, then back into the woods, first on a path and then on a dirt road. When you reach a crossroads (700 m above sea level, signposted), turn left and, first on a dirt road and then on asphalt, descend rapidly in the direction of Castellar, along Via Bonanate. Once you have crossed the provincial road, follow the internal parallel road that quickly leads to the centre of the village and a little further on to the equipped area near the parish church, where you resume the Valle Bronda Trekking route. To return to the starting point of the ring, follow the approximately 3 km cycle path that runs along the Bronda to the gates of Saluzzo.
