Highlights and tour details
From Graniga you go down to San Lorenzo and then to Bognanco Fonti on beautiful mule tracks. At the end of the village, where there is a bright green house, take the D00 path towards Ca' Monsignore, which you reach after passing over the ravine of Rio Rabianca on a beautiful stone bridge. The path continues first along the hillside and then descends steeply to the stream, which you cross on a spectacular stone bridge and then shortly climb up to the Oratorio del Dagliano. By continuing slightly uphill and then on the flat on a beautiful mule track you reach Monteossolano. Leaving the church dedicated to St. Gotthard, continue on a stretch of asphalt road to Pregliasca. From here, first on a firebreak road, passing some streams, then on a steep mule track in the woods, you go down to Cisore and then on a wide and well-preserved paved mule track you reach Mocogna. Cross the road bridge over the Bogna stream and descend along the carriage road to Castanedo. From here you take a wide and well-preserved mule track that goes up to Vagna (Maggianigo). Around Vagna many chapels and oratories scattered in the woods recount the local folk religiousness (Processione del Bambin in June with the traditional "cavagnette"). You go up and shortly reach Croppo and then continue along a path through the woods, then along a dirt road to reach the centre of Motto and the Chapel of Marisch.
