Departing from Ferrere and crossing provinial road 19, you enter in via Collina San Secondo, which leads you through woody areas onto the ridge from where all the surrounding landscapes can be dominated. You go along the entire ridge as far as the hamlet of Serra di Balla (255 m), going through small and modest groups of houses. Going further along the ridge you find rare dwellings and landscape that is still cultivated, especially near the top, and wooded in the middle parts. You go through the little hamlets of Novarino and Longaria. In all these hamlets it is interesting to note the presence of votive shrines on the road and mainly on private properties. You descend to the valley along the SP10 for about 350 metres to then go back up along the ridge and taking the "cammino di San Nazario" once more, where you arrive at the wonderful little church of the same name, rare proof of peasant religiousness and a gathering point for the inhabitants of the place. You carry on until reaching the municipal road of Bricco Grosso, which is covered entirely by climbing up to an altitude of 248 m, then you go back down to the regionof Faravello and enter the old road to Villafranca, along a route that is still in the middle of the countryside with views to Monviso from one side, and towards the area of the Triversa stream from the other.
