The third stage starts by passing by the Castle and the Cathedral (crypt) of Ivrea, then continuing along the Via Francigena (via Sant'Ulderico) to reach Lake Sirio and the shores of Lakes Pistono and Nero, from where it is possible to reach Montalto Dora. By remaining on the Via Francigena you can reach Borgofranco.

From Borgofranco you pass along the slopes of the Morainic Serra to reach the village of Nomaglio and then Andrate.

The route continues to reach the Zegna Panoramic road, an extraordinary balcony at about 1000 metres above sea level, looking out over the mountains and the plain between Turin and Milan, from which you can reach the Sanctuary and Sacro Monte (Sacred Mount) of Oropa.
