Highlights and tour details
The stage begins with a tour of the Sanctuary complex with the Old Basilica, the large porticoed courtyards, the Juvarian gate and the New Basilica.
The route then descends towards Biella, passing the old Biella Oropa tramway track, the Favaro village and the Burcina park.
The route continues through Vandorno, Strada della Nera and reaches Piazza Cisterna, crossing the village of Piazzo and the main sites of Biella UNESCO Creative City, visiting the gardens of Palazzo Gromo Losa, overlooking the mountains crossed by the route of the Zegna Panoramic Road.
The route continues downhill towards Biella Piano, passing by the Renaissance church complex of San Sebastiano, with its cloister and the Territory Museum site, the square of the Cathedral and the Romanesque Baptistery, via Italia and the industrial archaeology building along River Cervo.
The stage ends with a visit to the Terzo Paradiso (Third Paradise) and Tavolo del Mediterraneo (Mediterranean Table) works in the spaces of the former Giuseppe Trombetta Wool Mill, near the bridge over River Cervo.
