From Crevacuore an ancient path follows the route of the old municipal road to Ailoche, crossing the dense woods along the ridge of Colle Ramelle. Once past the village of Ailoche, we climb towards the hamlet of Piasca, following the Valli della Fede route for a short stretch. We turn left next to the little church, walking along a forest road that crosses a brook, skirts some semi-ruined huts and comes out of the woods at Alpe Sparavera. In front of us we see Monte Barone, which is the highest peak in the eastern part of Biella with its 2044 m. We walk uphill to an asphalt clearing, keeping to the right to take a some steep steps that climb into the woods; after a picnic area we walk up the steep slope to the top of the hill, where the Alpini (mountain troops) have built a chapel from which we can admire the panorama of the whole eastern area of Biella and the plain. After crossing the Bocchetta di Noveis, we walk along the side of the mountain, and skirt a "balma", an emergency shelter built between two masses of rock. We arrive at the asphalt road that joins Noveis to Coggiola at the small church of Piane di Rivò, and then descend along the mule track to Viera, and then we arrive in Coggiola along a path that cuts through the hairpin bends of the provincial road.
