From Piane di Veglio the cartroad climbs between huts and beech woods until reaching the "strada dell'alpe", an ancient transhumance road that we take downhill to a crossroads: going straight on we can reach the Mazzucco Sanctuary, while to continue the route we take the path on the right. Crossing the beautiful basin of Carcheggio we reach the huts of Monduro continuing downhill to the edge of the pasture, along a mule track bordered by dry stone walls, until the ford on the Strona stream. We go up the right side of the valley on an easy mule track that leads to the village of Trabbia, to then go through a thick wood. Once past Cascina Galletta, built in a beautiful sunny and panoramic position, we take the forest track that cuts across the southern slopes of Monte Casto. The panels of the educatonal path illustrate the vegetation along the carriageway up to the asphalt road that goes up to Pratetto. From the Circolo Arci in Pratetto we take the path towards the little valley of Rio Marezza, which we cross to reach Falletti. When we enter Valle Cervo on a mixed path that leads to the Rio Bogna, we cross it to take the track to Rialmosso, and after crossing the centre of Tomati we go up towards Oriomosso. We follow the mule track that goes down to Albertazzi, and from there to Quittengo.
