GTA: Stage 54 Borgata Chiesa di Bellino - Borgata Serre di Elva

Going out of the village of Chiesa, take the U22 path towards Colle della Bicocca. The first part of the route is along a dirt road, crossing grassland areas until fording on a rather incised stream. The road ends shortly afterwards and a path climbs up on narrow hairpin bends through the woods to Grange Sarsenà (1926 m). A little further on, leave the junction to the right for Celle and continue climbing up to Colle della Bicocca (2287 m) with a beautiful view of Monviso. From here you take the track on the left that goes along a stretch of ridge up to Colle Terziere and then continues almost flat for a stretch. Look out for a signposted crossroads that allows you to take the path that descends under the road on the right and gradually loses altitude cutting the slope above Elva along the hillside. At an altitude of 1903 near Grange Ciardonetti you take a dirt track that continues to descend diagonally until you reach the asphalt road near the village of Martini. From here a short, steeper section quickly leads to the houses of the little village of Serre di Elva where the stage stop-off place is located
