You continue from Neraissa Inferiore on the former military road which, just before Neraissa Superiore turns left and, with a series of wide hairpin bends, goes up towards Colle di Neraissa (2015 m). From the pass it is possible to climb to the panoramic peak of Monte Autes (2286 m) in around thirty minutes, The descent towards Sambuco begins on an easy path that crosses slopes subject to landslides, before reaching Colle della Chiardoletta (1761 m), being careful to ignore the path that branches off to the left just before the pass (which also leads to the village of Chiardoletta). From the hill, the path quickly goes down to the valley until it reaches the village of Chiardoletta; from here a dirt road leads to cross the Rio della Madonna and, turning left, allows you to shortly reach Sambuco (1184 m).
