The Alps of Turin allow you to experience unforgettable moments in contact with the territory. From the Gran Paradiso National Park , across the Lanzo Valleys and the Canavese to the Susa Valley and to the Chisone and Germanasca Valleys and to the Waldensian Valleys, there are infinite possibilities for trekking and hiking. Mountain bike, enduro, downhill can all be practised here at their best, and the services available on the territory include rental of quality bicycles and e-bikes, transfer services, maps and GPS tracks, instructors and qualified guides.

Cross country, enduro, all mountain; these are just some of the MTB activities to do on these picturesque routes designed for those who cannot do without the adrenalin that only off-road cycling can offer. The Alps of Turin have everything a mountain bike enthusiast could wish for, thanks to numerous itineraries designed with different degrees of difficulty and lengths.

Autumn and spring are the ideal seasons for pedalling over the Piedmontese hills, while summer is the best time to enter the alpine environment where single tracks and military roads allow you to conquer peaks with unforgettable views, such as the 3000 m of Colle Sommeiller, the 3130 m of Monte Chaberton and the 3,538 metres of Monte Rocciamelone, on the border between the Susa Valley and the Viù Valley, home to the highest Shrine of Europe, named after Our Lady of Rocciamelone

Formidable action, regular and flawless pace, intense anxiety; this is what the great cycling champions have given us. Out and out archetypes of the unstoppable climber, they are a model for all enthusiasts to follow and pursue. Thanks to the wide range of routes for racing bikes that the province of Turin offers, you can tackle the climbs on which the champions of the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia battled it out. Colle del Sestriere, Colle delle Finestre, Nivolet, Colle del Moncenisio, Colle del Monginevro and Colle della Scala, are the ideal sites to experience the great emotions of road cycling on your bikes.

For MTB lovers, the Historic mountain routes of this area offer the mythical paths of the Strada dell’Assietta which starts from Pian dell’Alpe, in the municipality of Usseaux and winds almost entirely above 2000 m; the Bardonecchia-Sommeiller Road among great alpine panoramas on rocky peaks and wide valleys; the Fenil-Pramand-Foëns-Jafferau Road with the spectacular Seguret tunnel “of the Saracens” as well as the network of 8 paths of Monti della Luna, in places of extraordinary beauty and great geological importance.

But the bicycle in the province of Turin also means peaceful and flat roads, fruit orchards and farms, trattorias and farmhouses, plenty of artistic beauty to discover the ancient villages and the Royal Savoy Residences which tell the story of Piedmont.

For lovers of itineraries on rock, vie ferrate and Tibetan bridge, the Alps of Turin have all you need to spend a day focused on sport and adventure.

Specific equipment, metal supports, and guided trails allow to have fun in a safe environment which stimulates the desire to climb, improve balance and resistance. The key Vie Ferrate of the province are found in the Susa Valley; an example is the one which allows to reach the Sacra di San Michele (sometimes known as St. Michael's Abbey) or the more Alpine ones on the Chaberton massif.
