Highlights and tour details
Descend slightly from Rifugio Daviso and with gentle ascents and descents, you cross a steep grassy slope furrowed by several small streams and interrupted at the base by high sheer drops over the gully where the Gura Stream flows. You reach the Ricovero Ferreri and after passing the bivouac (path no.316), you must be very careful as the route has particularly exposed sections on ledges, where it is possible to lose the correct track. Cross a small valley on the right with a channel of scree, where the Rio Bramafam is located. Head up and downhill towards a grassy ledge that cuts across the base part of the wall from right to left. When you reach a rocky hollow, go up to the right and, via some small rocks, reach a second ledge, half of which is marked by a large boulder leaning against the wall. Slip into the narrow space between the boulder and the wall without a sack, then from the end of the ledge, go up the scree to a third and last ledge that allows you to reach the wide gully that culminates with the pass. Climb up on snow and scree, passing a low rocky strip and solid rocky banks near Passo delle Lose (2866 m). From the pass there is an extensive view of the Gura group and the eastern Levanna, the Uja di Ciamarella (3676 m) and the Albaron di Sea (3261 m). Descend the south face (path no. 316) along an easy ledge from left to right, thus gaining the base of the rampart below the pass. Continue across a large scree basin, then along rocky banks and grassy slopes to reach Alpe Gias Piatou (2200 m). At the start of path no. 308, there are two options:
1. Go up towards Bivacco Soardi Fassero on the left, continuing along a grassy ridge that rises parallel to the valley and, at a subsequent fork, ignore the track on the left and continue along the one on the right. After resting, however, you will need to retrace your steps and descend to Gias Nuovo, where the next stage begins.
2. Descend along path no. 308 to reach the Gias Nuovo plateau (1893 m), where there is a recently built bivouac next to the alpine pasture.
