Take the dirt road from the hamlet of S. Lucia di Monterosso Grana that goes up the slope to the ridge with a couple of long hairpin bends; continue on it, passing Barma Grande until the end of the dirt road, near a grange in the locality of Raveto, which now becomes a mule track. A direct route takes you to the slope overlooking the hamlet of Frise up to an altitude of about 1680 near a spring. Bending decisively to the right, you go across a long, flat hillside that leads to the junction where it joins the R3 path coming from Frise, on which you continue until reaching the Rousset bivouac. A last direct stretch with a sustained gradient and a series of hairpin bends between rocky cliffs leads to the open pastures where the bivouac is located.
