From Sottole, on the municipal border between Brossasco and Melle, go down to the village of Paris, where the road begins to climb towards Colle di Gilba. It continues on an asphalt road as far as the group of houses that form the hamlet of Gilba Superiore (municipality of Brossasco) the centre of which is the Church S. Sisto (1169 m). After crossing the stream you enter the municipality of Sampeyre and continue to climb following the signs for Lantermini and Danna at the crossroads; on a narrow and steep asphalt road you go up into the woods passing the small hamlet of Lantermini. After steep hairpin bends in the wood you leave the fork to the left for Danna (1335 m), the main village of Gilba, and to the right the asphalt road to Tecchiasso (1340 m). Take a cart track and go along a stretch in the wood with a moderate slope; go along the last part of the valley passing some farms with some very steep stretches; then with a moderate slope you go along the fields until you reach the wide depression of Colle di Gilba.
